J
and K were contacted me for help after an extra-marital affair
threatened their 32-year long marriage, destroying trust, self
esteem and their overall ability to communicate. After a year of
intensive telephone work, the couple renewed their marital vows on
the anniversary of their marriage. They continue to work towards
improved trust, communication, and mutual encouragement through
regular telephone sessions.
S
felt terribly alone, frustrated, and alienated from her family after
a difficult childhood with her alcoholic, abusive father and passive
fearful mother. At the same time, she longed for closeness with them
and so agreed to manage the family business from the opposite coast.
Her busy schedule maintaining the business and coping with life as a
single woman in NYC left her no real time or energy for traditional
therapy. Working with me by telephone S has found a ready source of
insight, support and self-confirmation, and is working toward
reconciliation with her mother and father. She is making great
strides as she continues to work on he relationship with her parents
and pursues her own dreams.
L
was totally homebound and in real need of a supportive,
compassionate ear to help overcome her depression after suffering
several unsuccessful surgeries and the multiple infections that
resulted. Telephone counseling with me has offered her a means of
support, self-awareness and has help her become more optimistic. In
weekly telephone sessions, L is learning new coping and relaxation
skills, and continues to recovering a sense of self worth and hope.
